Electrical Portable Appliance Tester PAT
The Seaward PAT 500H is a simple to use portable appliance
tester designed to test the electrical safety
of class 1 and Class II 240V electrical appliances
in line with current safety legislation.
The PAT 500H reduces the risk of damage to sensitive
electronic office equipment such as PC's faxes, photocopiers,
making the unit suitable for testing in office
and information technology environments. It performs
earth continuity tests at a low test current of
200mA dc, insulation tests at 500 volts dc and
a substitute earth leakage test. PAT Training Services Limited also suggest
performing common sense visual indications on
appliances to check for any obvious defects that
may affect the safety prior to using the PAT500H.
This small hand held unit is ideal for electronic/electrical
service engineers and offices with a small amount
of equipment to test.
